This is the first track from our band Zeal. We formed in 2010 a few months after I moved to Vancouver. This song was co-written with Gerald Leong , Bart Brudzinski, and Mage.

I was told not to upload “unfinished work,” but I figured I needed something new here., something that I *just* wrote today. Anyway--looking to form a band and write new songs--you know anyone in Vancouver who digs this chorus? Then tell them to message me. I’m not a total stranger to Vancouver, even though I’ve lived here for just over a year. You can catch me at metal shows and the like--just let me know cos I still don’t know everyone here, but I’d like to!

Oh and if you’re interested in hearing the clean vocals version...you’ll have to message me! :P

Fast latin tune. Only 2 sections in the actual form. And the A sandwiches the B. If you don’t know what I mean, ask or study it, OK? The wings of Harbour Air ( www.harbour-air.com ) take me from Nanaimo to Vancouver and back and I recommend you fly with them--only 20 minutes--I hope that they use this tune in their advertisement--just kidding. :P

Gazing out the window
Staring at the world
Through the fog I see some lights
Is this a sign of hope?
I would have thought by now
I’d be somewhere else
I guess that dreams don’t turn to gold right away

Peering through the tree tops
Towering the homes
Sunlight pierces through the grey
The clouds break into blue skies
Dreaming of the future
Hoping to have you near
For now I’ll take the sun

Scorched and blinded by the sun
